Bill & Toni's is a usual neighborhood stop for us, like many residents on Stanley street in Darlinghurst. We have had both dinner and breakfast, and although dinner was good, we are even bigger fans of the breakfast.
As a fan of the old school diner type breakfasts back in the US, Bill & Toni's is the Aussie equivalent. You can get a heaping big brekkie plate and a flat white for $15!! The staff are friendly once they get to know you so don't be put off by your first experience. That being said the Barista who works on the weekends is outstanding, he is always smiling and say hi to everyone, his coffee is also some of the best in town! -

Not the best. Changed owners in 2013 and the food was just low quality. Lasagna was extremely salty. Meatballs on the menu but you have to order a whole pasta dish to go with them. You can't just get on pasta as normal dish. Not authentic Italian as expected, premade and nothing special.
Overall I definitely won't be returning and would urge people to find somewhere else to dine. -

Delicious and fast! The chicken parmigiana was so good. There was eggplant underneath the cheese and it was on top of oils providing wonderful flavor. If you have a huge stomach get it with pasta but I chose vegetables. If you need more there is bread at the table you can dip in the leftover oils. The food came out very quick which was awesome since we were hungry.
Don't eat before a night out on the town. -

A sentimental favourite for the hubby having spent his early career days on a Sunday morning then becoming afternoon with his mates after a late night for recovery...
We pleasantly find this open early on labour day Monday and enjoy a strong flat white and a 'worth it's price' tomato on Turkish bread. As we plan to stop at a few places today, we share this tomato delight ... A simple delight with a good amount of butter, salt and pepper that just makes it so tasty!
To the huby's disappointment,, the Addams family pinball machine that he do loved playing back in the day, was no longer *sigh*
(this review is for the coffee shop/ cafe downstairs rather than the upstairs restaurant) -

This place is an institution. It's not your typical Sydney cafe, but it is good at serving coffee, and they're open late (which is not too common in the city).
The food in the cafe is pretty simple, but they do have some good pastries. If you want a real feed, go upstairs to the no-frills, fully-legit Italian restaurant.
It get's busy in the evenings, especially with the after-dinner crowd from all the nearby restaurants. That being said the turn-over is high, so you won't have to wait long for a spot.
